2. What personal data is collected
Swiss for Expats only collects the personal data you choose to share through the contact form or the relocation request form. Typically this includes:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Country you are moving from
- Destination city or canton in Switzerland
- Approximate moving date or current stage of the move
- The topic you need help with and a short description of your situation
You decide what you submit. The site does not require account creation and does not silently collect additional information beyond what you enter.
3. Why this data is collected
The data you submit is used only to:
- Read and understand your request
- Reply to you personally by email
- Identify the most relevant guide, next step, or specialist for your situation
- Where useful, propose an introduction to a trusted specialist — never without your knowledge
Your data is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing purposes.
4. Form processor (Formspree)
Form submissions on this site are handled by Formspree, a third-party form-processing service. When you submit a form, the content of your submission is transmitted to and stored by Formspree on our behalf, then forwarded to the Swiss for Expats inbox.
Formspree processes submission data on our instructions and applies its own security measures. You can review Formspree's privacy practices on their website.
5. Email communication
If you contact Swiss for Expats by email, your message and email address are stored only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. You can ask at any time for your messages to be deleted.
6. Specialist introductions
Swiss for Expats may, where it makes sense for your situation, propose to put you in touch with a trusted specialist (relocation, tax, insurance, banking, housing). This only happens with your knowledge and consent. Your contact details are never forwarded to a partner without your agreement.
7. Analytics
No analytics or third-party tracking script is currently active on this site. If a privacy-respecting analytics tool is added in the future (for example a cookieless service such as Plausible), this section will be updated, and only aggregated, non-identifying data would be collected.
8. Cookies
The site does not set tracking cookies. Browsers may store small technical preferences (for example menu state). No advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies are used.
9. How long data is kept
Form submissions and related email exchanges are kept only for as long as necessary to handle your request and any reasonable follow-up. Old enquiries that are no longer useful are deleted on a regular basis. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
10. Your rights
Depending on the laws that apply to you (in particular the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where relevant, the EU GDPR), you have the right to:
